We design, install, build for the future WE MARKET THE SUN
The history of solar implementation dates back to the mid-19th century, when scientists first discovered the photoelectric effect, which is the process by which photons (light particles) create an electrical current when they strike a material.
The first solar cell was developed in 1954 by Bell Laboratories, which marked the beginning of modern solar technology. Early solar cells were expensive and inefficient, but research and development continued throughout the latter half of the 20th century, leading to improved solar technology and lower costs.
The 1970s saw a significant increase in interest in solar energy, as a result of the energy crisis caused by the OPEC oil embargo. This led to increased government funding for solar research and development, as well as the creation of incentives for homeowners and businesses to install solar panels.
In the 1990s and early 2000s, the development of new solar technologies, such as thin-film solar cells and concentrator photovoltaics, continued to improve the efficiency and affordability of solar energy. In addition, the introduction of net metering policies, which allow solar panel owners to sell excess electricity back to the grid, helped to make solar energy more economically viable.
Today, solar energy is a rapidly growing industry, with solar panels installed on millions of homes and businesses around the world. The increasing demand for renewable energy sources and efforts to reduce greenhouse gas emissions are expected to continue to drive the growth of solar implementation in the coming years.
